In 1981 and from humble beginnings, Steve created Steve's Mechanic Shop, which was almost exclusivley a diesal truck repair shop catering to customers in the Marysville area. One year later Steve had chosen to make Steve's Mechanic Shop into a general auto repair facility.

 

 After roughly 19 years in business, Steve had decided to take in a new employee in 2000, Vince Peterson. With Vince, there would be a chain reaction of growth for Steve's Mechanic Shop. Steve saw the true potential with Vince and in 2002 decided that it would be best fit if Vince became Co-Owner and a partner. The new partnership called for a brand revision and thus Tall Guy Small Guy Automotive was born. When you meet Steve and Vince in person, you will understand why the name was chosen.

 When Steve and Vince became partners they made a pact that they will always be 100% candid and honest when it comes to making recommendations for repairs to their guests. While working with Tall Guy Small Guy Automotive you will NEVER see repairs on an invoice that were not performed.
 

 Vince has over 15 years of experience as an auto repair specialist and is an Automotive Service Excellence Master Technician. Vince has certifications in Engine Repairs, Automatic Transmission and Trans-axles, Manual Drivetrains and Axles, Suspension & Steering Brakes Electrical and Electronic Systems, Heating and AC, Engine Perfmorance, Light Vehicle Diesel Engines, Exhaust Systems, Automobile Advanced Engine Performance, and Autombile Service consultant.

 

 Steve has over 30 years of experience in the automotive repair industry and is an Automotive Service Excellence technician. Steve has certifications in Engine Repairs, Manual Drivetrains and Axles, Suspension & Steering, Brakes, Electrical and Electronic Systems, Heating and AC. Also Steve is experience in the evaluation of vehicle technology such as Carberation Fuel Injection, and has dealt with most drivability complaints described by guests.
